We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot in the past few weeks and months, and although many things have changed, one thing that will never change is our commitment to your safety.
Our practice has always kept infection control as a top priority. We have always had strict sterilization and cleaning policies in place to make sure that all our patients have a safe and comfortable visit every time. We have also be hard at work prepping to make sure our office is up to the new safety standards in these unprecedented times.
Our office follows infection control regulations set forth by the Alberta Dental Association and College (ADA&C) and any relevant recommendations set in place by the Alberta Government and Alberta Health Services. We will be continuing to stay up to date with any further regulations or guidance that may be issued in the future. We do this to ensure that our infection control procedures always reflect the most current information available.
You may notice some changes around our office when you come in for your next appointment. We have made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. Some of these changes include:
We will also be adding an air purification system to our clinic to help improve the air quality and help reduce aerosols in the air.
Check our short video below showing what you can expect at your next appointment here at Foothills Dental Group. We encourage all our patients to watch it and get familiar with our new protocols! This is especially helpful for kids so they can see what to expect, including getting their temperature taken, doing a mouth rinse, and seeing what the staff look like now when they are dressed in the required PPE.
We look forward to seeing you again, and we are always happy to answer any questions you may have about the new procedures we have to keep you, and every patient, safe when coming to our clinic. To book an appointment, please call us at (403)289-5140.
